Spotlight Member: Lady Anastasia

Our Spotlight Member for May is Lady Anastasia, for her care and concern for the members of her network, PaganMystics Community, and for children in general.

Back when PACA first started as a group on another network, she asked if she could put a PACA group on her site. She also encouraged one of her members, Blackbird, to create a group called Pagans Against Sexual and Domestic Violence. This is a very important topic that goes hand-in-hand with child abuse. Those that abuse their spouses or significant others are much more likely to abuse the children in their home, as well.

Lady Anastasia is active in this fight by encouraging others, and by being vigilant on her own site to ensure the safety of her members, whether they're children or adults. I'm honored to have been selected for the coveted Spotlight Spot!

I don't feel that I've done anything special or out of the ordinary, My Goal is and always has been to put together the best, most well rounded community I can. That just automatically involves adding awareness and educational groups.

PACA has not only been a cause but also a great asset and support system. Most of you don't know how many times I've had to message DF or Tabitha concerning activity that I questioned on my own site.

I think it becomes an example of how communities can work together, to make their own little corner of the internet a safer place to learn and grow.

Of course it's special and out of the ordinary! Too many of the other site owners I've been in contact with just can't be bothered, or have even taken steps on their site that would only serve to protect the predators rather than the potential victims of them when the information was reported to them.

Not only do you keep an eye out for suspicious activity on your site, but you've warned us of suspicious characters you knew to be on our site, and for that we are grateful. :)
