Spotlight Member: Celtic Faery

Celtic Faery is our April Spotlight Member for her digilance in a very serious situation, and for speaking out about it so others may be aware and realize these things DO happen. Please check out her blog: "I am furious!!!!"

Celtic Faery very recently witnessed a man looking at very graphic child pornography at a computer in a public library. When she brought this to the attention of the librarian, she was brushed off and told nothing could be done.

This happens. It is very common and is a travesty occurring in libraries all over the country. Believe it or not, child pornography viewers are protected in public libraries. Not only does this mean, in essence, child pornography is legal in a public library, it also means the next person to use that computer may very well be faced with the horrific images of child rape left online by the previous user - and this includes your children sitting down to work on a school project.

Please, check out Celtic Faery's blog and give her some kudos for speaking out about this. So many would have looked away and tried to pretend they did not see the vile images. SHE did NOT! And she's planning on watching for this man and people like him with every intention of passing along information to law enforcement. For this she needs to be praised as much as possible!

Way to go, Celtic Faery!!! We need more like you!

MM, That my friends is appalling! Makes me sick to even imagine that this goes on in a public library. With that said, Congrats on this Celtic Faery! I believe that although he was allowed to continue viewing, perhaps Spirit meant for you to be there. It seems we have much power, more than any librarian, or politician. YOU saw it and YOUR doing something about it! If that happened in our library (that always seems to be filled with children) I'd think he would find himself tied to a tree up in the mountains (with duct tape)! I would have lost it totally right then and there, as would most people in this town. We are warriors and you have a battle with this man. And you will win! Child porn is horrific and no matter where its viewed IT IS WRONG! I cannot imagine being told what you were told by a librarian. She/he should be fired and charged with aiding and abedding this criminal. Who makes a law that could protect monsters in a childrens magickal place?
Im having a hard time with this. I want to come and deal with him myself! Grrrrrrrr! I send you energy, love and light to help you expose, humiliate, and bring to justice this sick predator ASAP. IF theres anything I can do, please let me know! Blessings, Reverend Willow Raine

Reverend Willow, I know just how you feel!
Celtic Faery handled it brilliantly, though, and she has posted an update in her blog. At least he's been banned from the library! With any luck, LE will follow through and find and arrest this creep. Lets hope that the library doesn't impede any investigation by not allowing them access to the computer he was on, or by cleaning it out.
