PACA: Pagans Against Child Abuse

A place for people who oppose child abuse.

MM, On Friday Oprah focused on childrens saftey on the internet. She brought in the mother of one young teenager who was lured by a predator on the internet to a hotel room whee she was raped. The youngster took her own life a few weeks later. Then her guest was a young lady who was also approached in a chat room and lured to the predators home. Once there she was raped and tortured. In that case the predator boasted to his friends about having a young girl chained up in his basement. This sickens me to the core and reaffirms my dedication to finding predators and pedophiles. I want to do more. How can I monitor NING, facebook, my space, and even witchschool international. What do I need to do to monitor these sites more frequantly? Im moving to the front line in this battle to save our children. Quite frankly, Ive had enough! Ive featued PACA on my facebook profile and also within the witch school community. I think that letting these freaks know were watching helps but then again It just makes them smarter and more devious. Give me some weapons so I can bare arms against our enemy. I renew my commitment to PACA and I believe in the great work we do here.
Many blessings, Rev Willow Raine

Hi Rev. Willow,

Thanks for the reminder of the Oprah piece. My SIL mentioned to me that she was doing a segment on online safety, but by that time I wasn't able to sit down and watch it. I tried to find the episode on her site, but came up with an episode set to air tomorrow. They may have mis-dated it on her site.

I'm not sure if you've seen the Most people just don't have a clue..." discussion I recently posted, but I've included some things people can do to start being active in the beginning of that post. One of those things is becoming a predator barrier, which entails setting up a fake account as a teenager and keeping the predators distracted enough with trying to groom you to be trying to groom actual teens. I strongly suggest following the instructions/suggestions recommended by WFI to the letter, so as not to mishandle any potential evidence you may end up being given by the potential predator(s) who contact you. You'll need to know how to save every conversation with predators, as well as take screenshots to send to LE in the event that they attempt to meet up with you, "cyber" with you, or send you any pornography.

As for helping out with Campaign Ning, start out with the profiles of those we already know are predators. I've posted a link in the Predators Among Us discussion (scroll down in comments to my response to Leith's comment), and check their friends lists. Anyone who's profile picture is set to Ning default (green shadow outline) is very possibly one who's photo was removed by Ning for inappropriateness, so that's a good place to start. Check their network listings. Anything that has obvious predator references (I'll be posting more about this in another discussion, I just have to compile a list), any listings that show member profile photos depicting young children, scantily clad children and teens, or nude children or teens are good places to start, as well. Ning tells me that you don't have to dig into the sites to the extent I did on many of them, just send the email to abuse@ning.com with "child pornography" in the subject line, with the link to the site, the name of the site, and a brief explanation of what you saw and why you're reporting it as a CP site. I've found that it's more effective to report each site individually. Ning qill create a ticket number for each report you send in. If you let them know in the subject line that there was CP on the site, or that it's a child predator site, they will look into it very quickly, usually immediately (I've sent reports at night and found that they took sites down within 10 minutes of receiving the email.) They will lock the site out so that content cannot be deleted before LE can get to it. (As is stated in the Campaign Ning group, always report everything to NCMEC, as well as Ning. I always report to NCMEC first, and let Ning that I have done so in my email to them.)

NCMEC will research the site and make reports to all applicable LE branches in applicable countries. They do their best to track down the perpetrators, but it does, unfortunately, take longer to catch some than others. Though LE can get through them, most predators and pedophile activists do use anonymizer sites, which will hide their true IP from most IP logging code. (I'll post more on that in another discussion.)

OK, I've got lots more to say on this subject, which may end up in another discussion entirely, but I've got some family obligations to attend to today, and I'm already running late. But I will get to it, I promise.

Thanks again for posting this discussion. I've had so many things floating around in my head that I need to talk about on PACA that I almost completely forgot about the Oprah episode.

Blessings,
~ DF

MM Dodia Fae, thanks for the information. I will be setting up a predator barrior account on yahoo in the next few days. I have printed out all the guidelines and rules of conduct and understand this kind of commitment. Blessings, Rev Willow

This is a campaign against GLSEN due to their "recommended reading list", a list of books detailing graphic and degrading sexual situations between children and adults who's only possible purpose could be to normalize adult/child sex.

Thank you, ARIADNE! That is awesome! We can use all the support we can get on this one.

Thanks Leith! Unfortunately a lot of people have been labeling anyone making a stand against GLSEN as homophobes... that just is not the case. For the majority of people who are against what GLSEN is doing, it is not about being anti-gay. It's about…
